Welcome to the Israeli Society of Hypnosis site!
The Society was founded in 1962, by Dr. Morris Kleinhaus, who also served as the first chairman. In the year 2000 Dr. Kleinhaus was granted an award by the International Society of Hypnosis.
As Hypnosis is a powerful therapeutic technique, bearing potential risks when carried out inexpertly - Israel was the very first country in the world to legislate hypnosis.
In the year 1984, "the Law for use of Hypnosis" was introduced. The law permits the use of hypnosis for therapeutic purposes only, and it should be carried out by licensed professionals (physicians, psychologists and dentists) who have acquired, following training and an exam, a license from the Ministry of Health.
Our society's mission is to promote the safe and responsible use of hypnosis within the authorized professions of physicians, psychologists and dentists, while emphasizing the promotion of ethical and professional standards in hypnosis practice.
The Israeli Society of Hypnosis offers a professional meeting place for physicians, psychologists and dentists practicing hypnosis. The association promotes Hypnosis training and seminars to the highest standards for its members. This is the place for exchanging ideas and promoting professional development in the field of hypnosis.
Fostering international collaboration is of great importance to the society and its members. Therefore, we are proud members of the International Society of Hypnosis and the European Society of Hypnosis, and actively engage in partnerships with other hypnosis societies around the world.
